Q. What is grid computing? A. Grid computing combines the computing power of geographically-distributed computational resources to act as a single, unified computational resource for solving complex problems.
Q. What is e-Science? A. e-Science is a science that uses immense data sets that require grid computing. It often involves collaboration between researchers sharing resources. These resources may inclyde processing power, storage systems, data, network resources, sensors, and other hardware (i.e., input and output devices)
Q. How can we connect to the PSciGrid? A.
Q. How can we submit jobs to the grid? A.
Q. Do you have plans for cloud computing? A. At this point, not yet. We are focused more on dedicated Grids than clouds. We can explore this later on because Grids and clouds can reside on the same infrastructure.
