1. Open Source Software Mirror The open source software mirror is a repository of the most popular free and open source operating systems (e.g. Debian, CentOS, Fedora, Bayanihan, Ubuntu), programming languages (e.g. PHP, CPAN) and relational database management systems (e.g. MySQL). It also contains a mirror of bioinformatics software and databases from EBI and KOBIC, respectively. Other applications being mirrored include OpenOffice and NetBeans IDE. Synchronization with tier 1 and primary servers occur regularly.
This mirror can be accessed at http://mirror.pscigrid.gov.ph and http://ph.php.net.
The collaborative development environment allows local software developers to create applications that can be accessed on the Web, to team up with other developers in improving the source code and to manage code revisions. It also provides bug tracking, feature requests, wiki and mailing lists. To date, there are 7 in-house projects being hosted.
This development platform is available at http://smithy.pscigrid.gov.ph. |
